My new favourite Farrow & Ball colour

I don’t fall in love very easily, so that must mean that this colour is special! I have fallen for one of F&B’s 2016 arrivals ‘Inchyra‘. It is named after a Georgian house in Scotland called (wait for it).. Inchyra House, and was found painted on the house’s barn doors.

It is a wonderful alternative to the charcoal greys, which I still like, such as ‘Downpipe’ (pictured below) which help to fuel the trend for painting all 4 walls a very dark colour.

If you are thinking of going dark (a brave decision, which almost always pays off), I would advise going for a room which benefits from lots of natural light during the day – that way it works, as it will look chic and intimate and not depressing!
